About us

Gunnedah Presbyterian Sunday Morning
A worshiping community around Jesus

St Andrews Presbyterian Church Gunnedah is made up of people from all sorts of backgrounds and experiences.  The Lord has brought us together as a worshiping community. Together we have found that The Lord Jesus Christ gives us purpose, forgiveness, peace, compassion & love, and all this on account of the Saviour giving His life for us.  Nothing we could ever do would be enough to repay Him for this amazing gift.  It is all of Grace.  He calls each of us to come to Him, in repentance and faith, trusting that He is able to bear our burdens, sin and guilt.  We recognise that we are not perfect, that we make mistakes, but we know that we follow a Saviour who is both merciful and kind.  As the apostle says in 2Cor ch4:7 “But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that this all-surpassing power belongs to God and not to us”   We are humbled but hopeful, for we have a gospel message that is able to change and bless not only our own lives, but also the lives of others that the Lord may in His grace, call.

Ambassadors for Christ.

As a worshiping community we see ourselves as ambassadors for Christ, bearing his Gospel to all kinds of people in Gunnedah & Boggabri & districts around, as well as beyond, through the missionary’s we support.

Why we exist

We do not exist for ourselves, but we exist to bring glory to the Saviour, and to enjoy Him forever.  We want to do this through up reach, in reach, and out reach.

Being Presbyterian

Presbyterian refers to the fact that we are governed by Elders.  Though we are a local Church we also are linked with the wider Presbyterian Church of Australia.

Sunday Services

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, we’d love to meet you, and if you wished to visit us and fellowship with us on Sunday morning at our family service (9.30am Gunnedah, 11.15 Boggabri 1st and 3rd, or 6.30pm Gunnedah evenings), I’m sure you’ll be made to feel very welcome.  Try to stay a little longer if you’re planning to come in the morning, because after the service in the Church we gather over at the hall for morning tea and catching up.  Through the week there are growth groups/Bible Study’s and Discipleship training, if you want to discover more about Jesus and what He is doing in your life these are also available.  Thank you for spending the time to look through this site.

Regards,

Rev Lyle Sims Minister St Andrews Presbyterian Church Gunnedah
